Sealed Egg Experiment Log — Observation of a Viscoelastic Organic Structure

The first thing I noticed in this experiment was the smell of the surrounding decomposed liquid.The decomposed liquid inside the flask had a heavy, aged odor. If I had to compare it to something, it was about 90% similar to the smell of fermented skate that I tried several years ago.

However, there was one strange point.The liquid itself had a strong decomposed smell, but the organic material placed on the petri dish afterward had almost no odor. That part felt rather mysterious.


1. Organic Material Removed from the Flask

I used a long cotton swab to remove the material from inside the flask.At that moment, the substance was clearly clumped together. It felt like a single mass, almost like an egg-shaped lump.

However, when I later picked it up with tweezers, it stretched much more than expected.Its texture was not simply liquid. It was closer to a slime-like viscoelastic structure—slippery like liquid, but still able to hold a certain form.

I am not sure whether it had originally been long in shape, or whether it stretched elastically when lifted with the tweezers. However, near the end, part of the connected structure seemed to break slightly.

The scene reminded me somewhat of the strange impression I had when observing planaria experiments in the past.

2. Elasticity and Contraction

The most peculiar part was that when I lifted it with tweezers, it clearly had elasticity.But when I placed it back onto the petri dish, it seemed to contract slightly.

If it had been a complete liquid, it would have simply spread out.If it had been a complete solid, it would not have stretched.But this material existed somewhere in between.

To describe it more precisely:

It resembled a viscoelastic organic structure between liquid and tissue.

3. Texture After Some Time

After some time had passed, I examined the material as closely as possible, although I did not record this part on video.It feels a little strange to call it a “dissection,” but I observed its internal texture and physical characteristics carefully using tweezers and visual inspection.

Unfortunately, I did not conduct microscopic observation this time.However, based on the naked-eye observation and tactile impression, as time passed, the material lost its elasticity and began to feel like a soft piece of meat.

At first, it was smooth and stretchable like a gel.But over time, its elasticity decreased and it turned into a semi-solid organic mass.


4. Brown Area and Fine Thread-Like Structures

The most important-looking part was the brownish area.Upon closer observation, that area appeared to contain extremely fine thread-like structures.

Personally, I suspect that this part may have been the key element forming the network that held the entire mass together.

However, I do not think this was the original chalaza inside the egg.At the time of observation, the chalaza had already contracted and was stuck near the air cell inside the egg. Therefore, the brown thread-like structure observed here may have been a separate decomposed organic network rather than the original chalaza.

5. Personal Interpretation




At this stage, I cannot conclude that this was biological tissue.However, it also feels insufficient to describe it as simple decomposed liquid or ordinary residue.

My personal interpretation is that this material may have been a special organic byproduct formed as semen and the internal components of the egg decomposed over a long period inside the flask.

More precisely, it appeared to be something close to:

A viscoelastic organic matrix formed by the entanglement of egg-derived proteins, fats, mucous components, microbial biofilm, and fibrous structures produced during decomposition.

There is not enough evidence to call it a hybrid.However, it clearly showed a structure different from ordinary decomposed liquid.The fact that it could be grasped, stretched, contracted, and later changed into a meat-like texture makes this result quite meaningful.
