Acanthiulus is a millipede that stands out for its segmented body and distinct ridges. The form itself left a strong impression on me, so this note is now organized more as a simple observation and care record.

Quick Notes

Millipedes such as Acanthiulus are closely associated with humid leaf litter, decomposed soil, and pieces of rotting wood. In captivity, substrate depth and moisture stability are more important than decoration.

Their diet is generally based on decomposing plant matter, soft leaves, and other organic material. Response to food can vary depending on the species, age, and condition of the individual.

The main risks are excessive dryness and excessive moisture. Open enclosures dry out quickly, while poor ventilation can encourage mold. Stable humidity, ventilation, and clean substrate are the core points of care.
